UK-LATAM INVESTMENT BRIDGE WITH ACACIAS CAPITAL
Open a new channel of investment capital for your region
UK regions compete for the same investment: US funds, Gulf sovereigns, a handful of Asian institutions. Latin America holds a deep pool of patient, purposeful private wealth that rarely reaches the UK.
In May 2027, we’re bringing a delegation of Latin American investors to UKREiiF. Get on their radar now and be ready to meet them.

WHERE WE ARE · AUGUST 2026
In May 2027 we're bringing Latin American investors to UKREiiF. Here's where that stands.
Recurve and Acacias Capital are assembling a delegation of Latin American family offices and high-net-worth investors for UKREiiF 2027, and a small cohort of UK places to meet them.
PROGRESS SO FAR
Our first confirmed delegation participant is the owner of MBI, Chile's second-largest wealth management company.
We are in active dialogue with more than twenty family offices and high-net-worth investors, with wider promotion running through to the event in May.
A founding cohort of four to six UK places is open to join. Places joining before the autumn seminar programme are promoted through the full in-country cycle.
We will update this panel as things firm up. If something here matters to your decision, ask us and we'll tell you exactly where it stands.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Patient capital for the homes and hard fabric your innovation places need to grow.
Latin American family offices, high-net-worth investors and pension funds are sophisticated and unhurried. They deploy into real estate and hard assets, homes, the built environment, infrastructure and energy, in stable jurisdictions they can trust for the long term.
That is exactly the capital a growing innovation place is short of. University-anchored clusters need somewhere for their talent to live and the physical space for companies to scale: housing, lab and grow-on space, and the built fabric of an innovation district. This funds the bricks of growth, rather than the research.
We build investor confidence in your whole proposition, its growth story, institutions and leadership, then channel capital into the discrete assets within it. Most regions chase the same investors for the same deals. A region that presents a credible whole proposition will not be competing for the same cheque.
What the Bridge does
A working channel between Latin American investors and UK regional opportunities, built and run by people with relationships on both sides.
01
Relationships built in-country
Acacias Capital engages investors directly across Chile, Colombia and Mexico through relationship-led seminars, with embassy convening where available.
02
Your place, made visible
We package your whole proposition to give investors confidence in the place, then identify the discrete real estate assets within it that capital can deploy into.
03
Your team, made ready
Practical upskilling so your investment team understands how this capital makes decisions, on relationships and trust built over time.
04
Investors brought to you
A curated inward mission that brings qualified investors to the UK to meet your leadership and see your propositions first-hand.
WHY NOW
Now is the time
Europe is already deepening its ties. With the EU–Mercosur agreement signed, Europe is moving to secure long-term partnerships with the region. The UK has no equivalent channel into Latin American regional capital. The places that build these relationships first will hold them as competitors arrive.
1. Get on the radar as it forms.
Most of these investors are new to the UK. They're forming their picture of where here is worth looking right now, in rooms in Santiago and Bogotá. Places in the cohort are part of that picture as it forms. Places that join later are trying to change one already set.
2. Be in the first promotion cycle.
The in-country seminars, webinars and platform listings run from this autumn through to UKREiiF. The cohort is capped at six so that promotion stays concentrated. Same fee, more runway.
3. Ready before the meetings happen.
This capital doesn't behave like the transactional money your may be used to fielding. The training and the practice conversations happen in the months before the delegation lands, with support continuing beyond the main event.
THE INVESTOR’S CASE
Why the UK?
Latin American private wealth is looking for certainty. English property law, rights that have run unbroken for eight centuries, treaty protection for a UK holding structure, and fiscal treatment that Spain, Portugal and the United States don't match. For families who have watched currencies and governments turn, that is a different category of thing from a good investment.
Which is exactly why they make good partners for a place. Capital that arrives for the long term doesn't need an exit in five years; it can sit through a planning cycle, a construction programme and a slow letting period, because holding is the plan. Purpose doesn't have to be declared to be real: capital that intends to own something for twenty years is structurally aligned with a place that needs it built well.
Around 29% of high-net-worth individuals from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE have invested in London property; Latin American families share the same motives and yet are barely represented here. Britain competes with other financial centres for globally mobile, purpose-driven capital — and it mostly competes at national level. This is one of the few routes by which a single place can compete for its own share.
The UK-LatAm Investment Bridge is designed to help you do just that.

QUESTIONS
The things place leaders ask first
-
Founding partners pay a fixed fee covering the full 18-month programme. We are keeping this first cohort small and pricing it to reflect first-mover access, so the simplest next step is a short conversation about what it would involve for your place.
-
Engagement from your investment team, a pipeline of opportunities worth presenting, and a willingness to host investors when they visit. We do the heavy lifting on investor relationships, packaging and convening. In exchange you get:
Prime promotion to Latin American investors — your place profiled to hundreds of investors through in-country seminars, co-curated webinars and Acacias' bilingual investor platform.
Priority engagement with the UKREiiF 2027 delegation — structured meetings in Leeds, plus an optional site visit to your place before or after.
Training on the Latin American market — how this capital is structured, how it decides, and the cultural fluency to work with it.
Expert support throughout, and alumni network membership — hands-on help through the programme, and continued access to the network afterwards.
-
Latin American family offices and high-net-worth individuals, sourced through Acacias Capital's network across Chile, Colombia and Mexico. Acacias is in active dialogue with more than twenty, and promoting to considerably more through the autumn.
Three things about them that matter for how you'd work with them:
They are experienced developers, but not here. Many have built and held property in other markets — Spain is a common route — so they understand development risk, planning systems and long holds. What they don't have is a UK track record, and most are new to this market entirely. A minority hold modest UK assets already.
That inexperience makes them cautious, and the caution is the reason this programme exists. They will move slowly, want to meet people rather than read documents, and need a trusted intermediary before they'll look seriously. If this capital were confident and well-connected here, it would already be here — and you wouldn't need us.
They deploy patiently, in an asset class they already understand: real estate, regeneration, clean energy and place-based assets.
Founding Partners receive a capability document on the investor cohort — track record, what they've built and backed, and how they make decisions — so you can benchmark them before you spend political capital on a visit.
-
Partly, and we'd rather be straight about why. We're recruiting the investor cohort in parallel with the founding places, because each makes the other credible — investors want to see committed UK places, places want to see committed investors.
What we can share now is our existing investor relationships and the named targets we're working. The first confirmed investor is the owner of MBI, Chile's second-largest wealth management company. The full cohort firms up through the programme, ahead of the delegation arriving in May 2027.
Founding Partners are buying first-mover position and preparation — not a guaranteed name list on day one.
-
Real estate and the hard fabric of place: homes, the built environment of innovation districts, lab and grow-on space, infrastructure and energy. We build investor confidence in your whole proposition, then channel capital into the discrete assets within it. This funds the physical growth of an innovation place, rather than research or venture risk.
-
We are building this with UK and in-country partners, including access to embassy networks for convening. We will be clear with founding partners about exactly what backing is in place at each stage.
-
We're honest that no one can promise you a cheque. What we can set out is the chain we're building towards, and where we take responsibility:
Conversations → qualified leads → site visits with your place team → schemes that progress into planning and development.
We own the first three links: putting your place in front of the right investors, qualifying who's serious, and getting them to your door. The fourth is yours, but it's the one that's impossible to reach if the first three never happen.
It's a well-worn route. Investors who join a curated place tour and build a relationship over years go on to become that place's largest delivery partners in their sector. That pattern is what we're engineering, deliberately, from a standing start.
Along the way you get artefacts you can use internally: investor profiles, a record of engagement, and follow-up notes you can file and share with your chief executive and members.
